30s MATH 한국어 Play the game

HOW TO PLAY

30 seconds.
One answer at a time.

30s Math is a short mental arithmetic challenge, not an endless worksheet. Choose a level, wait through the three-step countdown, then solve as many generated questions as you can before the 30-second clock runs out. Each question has four choices. A wrong answer ends the run immediately, so the score rewards accuracy as well as pace.

What changes between levels

The levels change the numbers, operations, and number of steps. Questions are generated as you play, so examples below illustrate the actual question patterns rather than a fixed quiz.

LevelQuestion patternsExample
EasyOne-step addition or subtraction, small multiplication, and exact division.8 × 7 = 56
NormalTwo-digit addition or subtraction, two-step arithmetic, squares, and square roots.15 × 5 + 10 = 85
HardLarger multiplication, exact division, powers, and mixed two-step expressions.38 × 7 − 24 = 242
ExpertLonger mixed calculations, evaluated derivatives, and definite integrals with integer results.For f(x) = 3x² + 2x + 1, f′(2) = 14

Every question offers four distinct answer choices in a shuffled order. Division questions are constructed with whole-number quotients; the expert calculus questions also use generated values that produce integer answers.

Work an example

38 × 7 − 24

Break 38 × 7 into 30 × 7 and 8 × 7: 210 + 56 = 266. Then subtract 24 to get 242.

Breaking a calculation into familiar chunks can be quicker than trying to hold the whole expression in working memory. For 15 × 5 + 10, for instance, find 15 × 5 first, then add 10.

Try four quick problems

Choose one of four answers and select Check answer. Each example uses values that can appear at its matching game level. The worked steps appear after you check.

1. Split the multiplication

38 × 7 − 24

Choose one answer

2. Bridge to 100

98 + 27

Choose one answer

3. Divide, then add

160 ÷ 8 + 9

4. Square before adding

4² + 12

Score and personal records

Your score is the number of correct answers in one 30-second run. A wrong answer ends the run; there are no partial points. The best score is stored in this browser separately for each difficulty, so it stays available on this device without an account. Clearing this site's browser storage removes those local records.

You can also choose to submit a score to the online daily and all-time leaderboards from the results flow. That is separate from your local personal best and is optional.

Frequently asked questions

How long is one game?

The solving period is 30 seconds. A three-step countdown appears before the timer starts.

What happens when I choose a wrong answer?

The run ends immediately and the results screen shows your score and the best score for the selected difficulty.

Do I need an account?

No. You can play without signing up. Your personal best is saved locally in your browser; online leaderboard submission is optional.

Are questions the same every time?

No. Values and question patterns are generated during play, so a new run can present different questions.

Does the game work on a phone?

Yes. The game runs in a modern mobile or desktop browser and uses large answer buttons for touch and mouse input.
